1. Overview

Muslim Routine ("the app") is a personal daily planner designed to help Muslims organize their day around prayer times. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

• Account information — your email address, collected via Clerk (our authentication provider) when you create an account.
• Location (city and country) — entered manually by you during setup, used solely to fetch local prayer times.
• Planning data — your daily schedule, blocks, and preferences. Stored locally on your device at all times. Automatically synced to our servers only if you are signed in, so you can access your data across devices. If you are not signed in, nothing is sent to our servers.
• Push notification token — a device token (FCM) stored in our database only if you are signed in and have enabled notifications. Used solely to send you prayer time reminders.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To calculate and display accurate prayer times for your city.
• To sync your planning data across your devices when you are signed in.
• To authenticate your account securely.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

• Clerk — handles authentication. See their privacy policy at clerk.com/privacy.
• Supabase — stores your synced planning data. See their privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
• Aladhan API — provides prayer times based on your city. Only your city and country are sent to this service.

5. Data Storage

Your planning data is always stored locally on your device (IndexedDB) and is fully accessible offline, even without an account. If you are signed in, it is also synced to our secure servers (Supabase) to allow cross-device access. If you are not signed in, no personal data leaves your device — except your city and country, which are sent to the Aladhan API solely to retrieve prayer times. You can delete all your data at any time from the app's Settings page.

6. Children's Privacy

Muslim Routine is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
